I'm in trouble

I've had a guy friend for the past 4 years. We do group sports together all year round, so see each other at least twice a week for those activities, and hang out in smaller groups, and even one on one (movies, dinner, etc.).
Anyhoo, we were on vacation last week with another (girl)friend. She went to bed earlier than the 2 of us every night. We would just stay up talking. We finally shared our first kiss, and it all of a sudden changed everything for me.
We spent every waking hour together for the past 8 days, and even though we are back from vacation, still hung out this weekend.
It feels so comfortable and natural already. Even though i've known him for 4 years, I can't get enough of him.
I feel absolutely crazy. How can I feel so strongly about someone so quickly, even though i've known him for so long?

This,I've done this.
It happens when you least expect it. Whether you've known them your whole life, a few hours, or a few weeks.0 -

This didn't "suddenly" happen... it's been on it's course for several years now. Go with it!0 -
You've built a great foundation based on a great friendship! That's the best!!! Go for it! Life is too short! If you have amazing chemistry with someone you can't pass that up, no matter what the obstacles might be!0

My best friend and did everything together for years. I was his escort for his 20th class reunion. We had a little too much to drink that night, and crossed the friendship line. We've been together ever since and are planning our wedding in April after 7 yrs:) I think being in a relationship with your best friend
is amazing. Enjoy!!!!!0 -
I think you're in for a good time! Enjoy!0

Awwwww! This is a wonderful thing. Go for iiiiit.0

It's just bizarre to be feeling this way all of a sudden! I want to be with him all the time, but I need to try and be rational, and know we can't be together all the time.
Thanks for the input though guys!0 -
Maybe the kiss just made you start seeing him in a different light, in a more romantic sense than before. I think it's normal to want to spend every waking moment together when you first start dating someone. It's normal in first stage of a relationship/romance. Good luck :flowerforyou:0

well at least your not your not feeling creepy about what happend.0

Be very leery of these feelings...I'd say stop seeing him right away. Don't call, don't text, stop sports...it's the only answer.0

Why would you say that? She's developing romantic feelings for someone who appears to feel the same so cutting off all contact with that person doesn't make sense with me. O.o0 -

apparently you forgot your sarcasm font0 -
yall probably have always liked each other.. but didn't really know how much until the "kiss" .. Good luck! It is always the best when they are your best friends.. but, also - be aware that If it doesn't work out you may not only be loosing a boyfriend but you could be loosing 4 years of your best friend.. just be careful. You never know what could happen..I would ask him if the feelings you feel now are mutual... and go from there.. if they aren't and it was just a moment of weakness.. just brush it off and don't let the feelings get deeper.0

yes, especially when you least expect it!0 -

Because the absurdity of my response shows how absurd questioning the feelings are.0 -
The same thing has happened to me... twice. You are best friends so clearly you have a lot in common and enjoy each others' company. Sometimes the romantic connection all the sudden hits you in the face.0

Enjoy this time you know each other
very well by now. It's meant to be!0 -

I've been in this situation with someone I'd known for about 12 years (although not as well as you know this guy). Unfortunately for me, that turned into a serious trainwreck of a POS relationship, but it ended being what woke me up to realize I need to make some real changes in my life. If you just want more insight on your feelings, read Why We Love by Helen Fisher--very enlightening.0 -

My guess is the feelings were already there, but you had never allowed yourself to go there (mentally) before. The kiss just sort of opened the floodgates. Just go with it, it might just turn out to be the best thing that's ever happened to you.0 -
Just go with it. Ah, tt's a beauteous feeling.... bask in it. Smell it, touch it, taste it, fall in love with it.0

I started hanging out with a guy as friends...wasn't looking for anything...and we both fell for each other. It does happen when you aren't looking.
You're right you can't spend all the time together so just enjoy what time you do spend together!!
BTW - I'll be marrying my best friend in July of 2013!!0 -

I 100% agree with this statement. Don't let anything stop you.0 -
A very similar thing happened to me (minus the sports) We've been married for 15 years and still looking forward to 50 more.
Take things smart. You deserve to be happy.0 -
