What am I doing wrong?

Since I've started MFP I've noticed that I'm getting pretty terrible heartburn. USUALLY I get it from eating too much dairy, but I've been pretty light on the dairy with my new eating plan. So...not sure what's causing it, and I'd rather not live off of heartburn medication forever.
Any ideas what is causing this and how I might correct it in my food plan?
Thanks.

Is it a sensitivity to something else you're eating? Maybe try elimination of certain foods to narrow it down0

I have been experiencing this too and have yet to figure it out. The other day all I did was take 2-3 small bites of yogurt and heartburn set in....0

It's usually just been dairy that has been my down fall. I'm not sure what it could be now...maybe too much acidic veggies/fruit?0 -
Are you inadvertently getting more sodium? There's a lot of sodium in all processed foods, many condiments, deli meats, etc.0

Eh...maybe? Monday-Thursday (my work week) is usually the worst cases...and these have been the days I have been eating the best.0 -

Just asked because a lot of salt will do it to me.
So will highly acidic foods like orange juice, some tomato sauces, etc.0 -
My mom had this and she cut out msg a few years ago. She never have heart burn issues now so I'm guessing it could be a food intolerance.0

Are you eating regularly and not waiting hours and hours and hours between meals? I find that the only time I get heartburn anymore is when I haven't eaten recently.
Aside from that possibility, I think everyone else here is nailing the general recommendations. Possibly a food intolerance, try eliminating foods until you find the one. Processed foods tend to be the worst offenders usually.0 -
Until you figure out what is causing the heartburn, keep celery close by. A stalk or two of fresh, raw celery should help calm the heartburn quickly... for very few calories.0
