Running Shoes

I've heard that one needs to switch out their running shoes every 300-400 miles and it's time for me to start looking for another pair as mine are now giving me blisters. I've been switching out between a pair of Asics/Reebok walking shoes however they are both giving me blisters, so it's time for a change. Does anyone have any recommendations on running shoes that have been working really well for them? I've been looking at a pair of Reebok Zigs as they have great reviews. Thoughts?
