You could try one of those energy boosters such as 5-hour energy. I' haven't used them for working out, but I have used them and they have worked for me. But its only got 5 cals, no sugar, carbs, anything like that.

When you exercise your body releases endorphins. After you stop working out the endorphins stop. That's why you feel good during and right after exercising and than after a little while don't feel like you have any energy. Another alternate explanation is the quality of food that you had before you work out. Protein shakes are meant to be used as building blocks when your body rebuilds after exercise, not as a primary energy source.

Well, I guess its because your muscles have just performed a lot of work. You have probably used up your cellular stores of phosphocreatine and glycogen. Make sure you drink a lot of water and maybe have some carbs post workout to help with energy levels? I'm not sure if it will help but you could try it.

i usually dont like things with alot of caffeine in them so i try to stay away from things like that but i know 5 hour energy says it doesn't make you jittery. i drank the protein shake only because im running low on food and haven't gotten paid yet lol but i will give what everyone said a shot :) thank you

Are you new to working out? If so, I would say it is a feeling that will go away after you've adjusted to your workouts. Most likely, it's just an adjustment period. Eventually, working out will give you more overall energy....assuming you're eating enough total calories. If you're not eating enough overall, the workout will deplete your energy quickly. So make sure you're eating enough to support your workouts.

Don't do this. It's bad to artificially speed the rhythm of your heart.
