Losing it

I am so frustrated/depressed right now. I did a week of P90x wholeheartedly a few weeks ago and was hitting my calorie goal but didn't lose any weight at all that week. So then I got frustrated and gave up (I know, I quit a little too easily). Since then I have only been exercising sporadically and not eating as healthy as I should. I work the graveyard shift 3-4 nights a week, so my sleep/wake schedule is pretty off most of the time. I think that definitely has something to do with my not being able to lose weight as easily, but unfortunately there's not much I can do about the schedule issues.

I just feel like I'm never going to get anywhere with the weight loss unless I go to extremes with my diet/exercise and I find it very hard to do that. Background info: Along with working the graveyard shift, I have a 3 year old daughter and my husband works 50hrs/week so I am with her the majority of the time. Anyone else having to make food for their young children while trying to be on a diet? I can't seem to find a balance. I don't want to live the rest of my life mildly overweight and want to be a good example for my daughter, but I'm really struggling right now! Any encouragement or similar sob stories appreciated!

hi, you must be doing something right, your ticker shows you have lost 6 lbs, thats great... :-)

i understand its frustrating, i have been stuck at my weight for almost a month now, but i also took up running about a month ago too... so i think i am building muscle which weighs heavier than fat....

anyway back to you, dont give up, finding a balance is the key... i have 2 young boys and a husband who works 12 hour days. i work out when he gets home and eat much smaller portions than before, my diet has got slightly healthier but not as much as i could be, yet i still lost 26lbs.... the key is snacks, swap the crisps for an apple, coke for water etc and eat off smaller plates. your body will catch up with your lifestyle/diet changes and the weight will start coming off ... good luck :-)
