Is it OK to take Whey Protein on rest days?

I'm taking Dymatize Elite Whey isolate (actually isolate+concentrate), 24g protein per scoop with ultra low fat milk on my workout days (within 10 min.post workout). Can i also take the shake on my non-workout days? hope i won't put on weight as a lot on the internet states that whey protein actually helps you cut the flab (but on rest days???)

    I believe with most it is preferred, check out the usage directions on the item

    that's like asking "can I eat chicken on rest days?"

    it is protein. just in a different delivery system.

    keep your calories and macros in line and it doesn't matter WHEN you drink it!

    It's no different from eating chicken, beef, pork or fish. It's just a source of protein. It has no magical powers. :wink:

    Whey protein is just a protein supplement. Nothing magically about it. It just helps you reach your protein goals.

    It doesn't matter when you take it and as long as you are in your calorie goal you should gain (assuming you are trying to lose)
