FitBit, does anyone have one ? How do you rate it ?

Im not able to exercise at the moment, but everyone keeps saying " you must be doing something and your not even realising it".

So i thought i would spend the money on the fitbit just to monitor exactly what i am doing in a day,i might surprise myself, and to monitor my sleep since im not sleeping well at the moment.

Just interested to see if anyone has one ?, has any advice ?, an opinion if its good ? bad ? worth the money ?

Does it work well with MFP ?

I got mine the beginning of July. I love it.

I found it to be really eye opening. I was really interested to see what I was doing / burning during camping season. I usually walk at least 10k steps a day there. I had no clue.

Most of my exercise comes in the form of walking or running and I find the fitbit useful.

I got mine in April and wear it every day. It's not waterproof, so no good for activities like swimming but their site gives a more accurate burn rate for that than this site does. It's main purpose is to keep you moving I think. I'm often walking about the house just getting it up to the next hundred before bed! It'll come into its own for you when you can start going for walks again. The other plus is that it syncs with this site and if you've moved more than the amount that is already built in for sedentary (more than about 2 miles for me I think) then you get an adjustment to your exercise calories giving you more to eat!

Just watch it if it starts giving you steps or flights of stairs when you are travelling in a car or public transport. I usually log those periods as "riding in a car or bus" to make sure that it doesn't over count.
