MFP giving me more calories

MFP have updated my goals due to weight loss however my weekly calories have increased rather than decreasing as I thought they would. I don't have a problem with this but just want to know the logic behind it - I thought the less weight you carried, the less calories you'd need to maintain your resting metabolism. Am I being stupid here?

Thanks to you I see the problem - I had manually set my calorie goal a while ago to something like 1.4lbs per week loss.
MFP has automatically changed that to 1lbs a week when it asked if I wanted it to update my goals.
This could be something for people to watch out for.0
