Calcium?

I am not getting enough calcium. What can I eat besides milk and cheese to get some? I love dairy but if I eat it I go over my calories. I eat yogurt every morning but that's not much.

Several fruits and veggies have good amounts of calcium. Do a search for it and then pick some you like and eat more of them. Try switching to almond milk or some other non-cow milk, less calories and fat.

I do like Almond milk and I think it's like 60 calories per cup instead of 90 for fat free milk. Thanks for the suggestion I didn't realize there was a a lot of calcium in it!

The Silk almond milk I drink has 30 calories. It's unsweetened. Just stick with a google search and you get many ideas.

Soya milk like Alpro contains 25% more calcium than regular milk (skimmed or otherwise) so you could try that. Unsweetened is best and has barely any calories. Also eat more leafy green veg. Orange juice contains some calcium but it's very high in sugar.

I love yogurt. All sorts of yogurt. It's delicious. And full of calcium
  • Hi there. I pop 2 tums if I find I'm lacking at the end of the day. Like the fruit flavor ones.

Don't forget your vitamin D so the calcium can be absorbed (little bit of sunshine is good for you too!)
