Vegetarian... mission impossible?

Hi, I just started on this site, and I was wondering if many of you are vegetarian as well? My goal is acheviable, -15 to -20 lbs. Loosing 1lb per week. Considering the fact that I am a active young female, did anyone have recommandation for a sportive vegetarian on a weight lost process? Did someone have a vegetarian protein powder to recommand?
