A little tune to set to the forum, Discussion time though. What can I do to cut down on sugars? I have been using alternative sweeteners and trying to stay away from candy and cookies. However, I am still going over on my sugar intake which is a big part of me wanting to lose weight and watch what I eat. I will indulge once in a while and have a piece of chocolate here and there but one piece is not going to kill me every time.

Any good suggestions?

  • ok, i was waiting to see if anyone else had some advice, but no has yet.

    i looked at your diary. you are eating alot of sandwiches, breads, and pasta. you also indulge in some ranch dressing and yogurts. those are all very delicious items, but are all high in sugars.

    you're just going to have to find a way to cut those, maybe by a third or even a half. i had the same problem when i was stuck at 181. instead of pasta or rice, i'd cook extra veggies. instead of yogurt, i would eat some fresh fruit or cheese. for sandwiches, you should either eat the 100 calorie sandwich thins or even use a tortilla shell.

    and as far as the chocolate goes, if you want a piece, eat a piece. dieting and weight loss is a lifestyle change. if you feel that you are depraving yourself, there's no reason to be miserable. i regularly enjoy some ice cream still, or a bowl of sugary cereal at night.

    Thank you sweety.. I love my ranch but I guess I can opt out of eating sandwiches.. it's not something I should really be eating much of anyways.. lol
