A new beginning?

Hey there. I am 40yo, mom of 2, patient with chronic illness on a ton of meds, and a practicing physician. "Physician heal thyself..." I have repeatedly been told by family members that looking overweight makes a person seem unprofessional, particularly in the health care industry...any thoughts on that?
