Should I be eating snacks?

My daily calorie goal is 1280. I was wondering if I should be eating a snack or snacks during the day to keep my metabolism going? or can I save those extra 100-200 calories for my meals? will it make any difference?
Thanks!
Thanks!

There's not a lot of good evidence that frequency of eating makes much of a difference to your metabolic rate.
I think it comes down to what works best for you.
Some people feel more satisfied if they get a little snack every couple of hours so that they never get starving hungry.
Other people feel more satisfied if they get two or three sizeable meals.
I tend not to snack much unless I've exercised a ton and need to get extra calories in, because I have trouble stopping at just a little -- it's actually harder on me, mentally, to eat a 100-calories snack and stop than it is to just wait until the next meal. To each her own!0
