Hello lovelies

I have recently started lifting but i'm unable to do a full squat. The problem isn't the weight, its the fact i've spent most of my life in very high heels and as a result my leg muscles are all screwed up. I need tips on how to loosen my calves and shins so that i can do a full squat without feeling like my lower legs are about to implode.

i like to do calf stretches. Stand on the edge of a stair (on the balls of your feet) and then lift yourself up onto your toes, hold for a count of 5, then lower yourself down so your heels go past the edge of the step, hold for a count of 5. Do several reps.

i also like downward dog and alternating bending my right knee and left knee (while keeping my toes on the floor)

it will take some time since wearing high heels regularly will shorten the achilles tendon (it is best to alternate wearing heels with flats, I knew a lady who had to have surgery on her achillies tendon because she constantly wore heels)

    Hope these help you out!
