Hi, I have been looking for calories on the packs of things and do not see anything listed as calories. I see energy which is being measured in the form of kg/100g. Is this the calorie count?
I just looked at a packet of crisps and the 50g packet was said to to hold of 2000kj of energy per 100g, therefor this single packet would (if these are calories) be 1000 cal.
Is that correct?

Kj = kilojoules - used in many parts of the world, just not the US.
To convert from kj to cals, divide by 4.2, so if a product contains 1000kj, that equals 239 cals.0 -
Brilliant, thanks.0
