Going organic?

Hi,
I've been reading a lot lately about organic foods and would like to try and introduce organic foods to my diet but everything I've been reading lately is American and I'm not seeing the same brands and availabilty etc in the UK, in particular Northern Ireland! I had a quick look during my last weekly shop in tesco and found low fat organic yoghurt more fattening than low fat non-organic and things like eggs were 60p dearer for 6 just for organic. I know it's worth it to pay more but really looking for tips etc on what and where is best for a newbie! Thanks
