Should I do it everyday? My abs are wicked sore today. I can work through the pain, I did 30 Day Shred consecutively, but I am not sure I should be doing something that focuses so much on one body part everyday. What do you all think? Every other day and cardio on rest days? Thanks!

I do this workout but I do take rest days. Sometimes I do it back to back more than one day in a row and my abs are not sore. I think after a week or so you could start doing it back to back if you wanted to.0

Why suffer? Overtraining and overstressing the body can lead to injuries and doing the same thing every day is BORING. Plus the rest of your body needs training too! Pop in another workout DVD or go for a walk/run.0

No muscle should be worked "everyday". Muscles grow when you're resting, not when you're working out. That said, I'd suggest working abs 2x a week, 3x tops (obviously not on consecutive days). Also, how is your diet? There's a very true saying that "abs are made in the kitchen". You can do all the ab work in the world but if you have extra fat in that area, you'll never see your hard work.0

You don't neglect the rest of your body with this workout. There is cardio, and leg and bun work and arms, shoulders and back work. It isn't doing situps and crunches the whole time. It is great for people with limited time who don't run or have a gym membership.0

I think 3X a week is a good plan. I did the 30 DS, just finished last week, and had awesome results. I am not really looking for amazing abs, I just really like Jillian Micheal's videos and I heard this was a good one. My diet is pretty good. I almost always say within my goals, but often eat almost all of my exercise calories. I eat a little junk sometimes, for my sanity, but I do some sort of exercise everyday.0 -
Have never tried this video, but now I might have to!!! Thanks!0
