Hi. I am a 25 year old mom to two boys. I've had a really hard time losing my second babies weight. He is now two and I am still 30 pounds over what I was when I got pregnant with him. Even then I was about 10lbs overweight for my size. I think its all in my chest : ) I'm sick of being this big and am very depressed over it but have a hard time fitting exercise in to my day. By the time my kids go to sleep I just want to sit and catch my breath. I'm also discouraged because in the past few months I have cut my dinner portions down so I wouldn't be eating so much in the evening. As well as I have cut out a lot, though not fully, of my weakness...slush! Adding to my frustration is the fact that I work 5 days a week and speed walk to the point of feeling like i'm going to trip over my feet because I'm going too fast for my short little legs for a half hour to work and home and still have only lost maybe 5 lbs. On top of that on my weekends I'm pushing to 40lb kid plus the weight of a bike trailer to the park that is also about a half hour a way and am seeing no results! I was some what classified the "hot girl" in school and feel embarrassed of myself now. And it doesn't help that all my friends who've had babies also are like 120 lbs like three months after having their kids. I feel like there's something wrong with me. Why can't I do it? And why can't it work for me?

Welcome. Positive thoughts.
Have you had your thyroids checked??0 -
Welcome:flowerforyou: I have only been a member for four days and I have lost 5lbs , I won't put it on my record yet because I go to the doctor to weigh as well and that is the scale that will tell me exactly what I have lost. What I am trying to say is this really works, and everyone is very suportive. Try this for a week and don't give up hope..:flowerforyou:0

I've had my thyroid checked after having each of my kids. With both my boys right after I had them, within three months I gained 20 lbs. And its just impossible to lose. I didn't lose my first son's baby weight until he was about 9 months and I went to herbal magic. I couldn't afford their recommended pills so I just followed the eating recommendations and starting working again lost 4 lbs in 4 months. I don't know what's wrong this time. I'm doing the same types of things but instead of chasing one kid its two now. I've asked my doc and all he's said is that I need to physically run and sweat. My opinion, not true. When I lost it all before I was doing the same thing by walking to work and back.
I'm just so frustrated and discourage. I think a big part of it is that the food choices I do make are fairly healthy but that I really dislike eating. I usually feel physically sick to my stomach after I eat. I think as a result of that, my body is kind of sitting in starvation mode so its hard to burn anything off.
I don't know how to fix my dislike of eating. I usually bring an apple to work for breakfast because I never have time for breakfast at home. It will sit in my bag all day and I know its there and have the time to eat it but I just don't. I don't feel hungry ever. I've been that way for as long as I can remember.0
