i basically track my exercise on the weekend and am mindful of my food choices...but i give myself a break for logging. i used to be obsessed and then i found i got carried away and started to enjoy life less when i was always worried about logging every single calorie and making sure i kept my log-in count active.

I have been doing this, but I think it's ruining my progress. :( When I go to work I bring bfast, lunch, and snacks with me, and I plan it all out and eat everything I bring. When I get home I work out and make a healthy dinner. Perfect. BUT THEN...weekend comes. I don't go to work, therefore I have all this food around me. And I eat it. :( If we go out and do stuff, we eat out which is even worse. I think I need to track on the weekends and really be careful.
  • I will tell you my story with not tracking on the weekend. I lost 61 pounds, got to my goal and then got sloppy...stopped tracking on weekends....well now I have 20 pounds to lose. I think that until you get 100% confident and until you lose a huge chunk of weight you should still track on the weekends. I started not tracking on weekends and then slowly started eating lots of stuff I was not supposed to and it really messes things up. I can do okay all week and slip up on the weekend and I find myself trying to redo all the work I did the previous week. If you are a busy person and if you have a smart phone you can use your smart phone to log as well. Good luck.

It's definiatly easier to track/log in Monday through Friday due to work & routine. If I want to maintain then I do just thought ...& not check in on the weekends but still try to keep a frame of thought to not go crazy with over eating & being too lazy. If I'm trying to lose some weight or I've been out of control & I need grounding then I'll log in & keep track 7 days a week. But, you do have a point. I've noticed when I take a 2 day break I feel re-energized for the week as well.
