Fat2Fit philosphy....any feedback??

Hi Folks

Just wanted to canvas some opinion. I hear mention of fat2fit radio a lot and have looked at their website numerous times. Does anyone have any experience/feedback/success stories of using this method of setting up calorie goals? I'm just researching different "methods"......

Thanks!!

  • I've been following their philosophy since March 2012. I have lost 28lbs in that time. I still have 36lb to go but I feel amazing and have a huge difference in my clothes.

    Are you talking about eating the amount of calories needed to maintain your goal weight?

    Their advice is fairly sound. The advantage is, you aren't dramatically cutting calories which make it much more sustainable, you decrease the chances of sagging skin, and reduce the chances of muscle loss. I use a modified version of what they do. I prefer to use the method below.

    Start with the BMR from F2F website, multiply it by one of the factors below (include exercise in your tdee) and cut 20% (adjust macros to about 35% c, 40% p and 25% f).

    * Sedentary = BMR X 1.2 (little or no exercise, desk job)
    * Lightly active = BMR X 1.375 (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/wk)
    * Mod. active = BMR X 1.55 (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/wk)
    * Very active = BMR X 1.725 (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days/wk)
    * Extr. active = BMR X 1.9 (hard daily exercise/sports & physical job or 2X day training, i.e marathon, contest etc.)
