Hi ladies and gents,
I'm Jesica from Georgia. I am a Senior at Columbus State University persuing my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Nursing school is pretty consuming but when I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my dog and husband. No kids
but married to the love of my life who is also an active duty Army officer. With a husband so fit and active it's been hard for me to see the pounds creep up myself without wanting to do something about it. I am by no means overweight, I am still in my healthy BMI range but I would like to get back down to the weight I was before Mr. Right came along. I have 20 pounds to loose. I have tried everything and am having a hard time sticking to my weight loss goals and finding time in my busy schedule to workout. I hope this tracking everything will begin to work for me. I really want to be back in my size 4 skinny jeans!
I would love to meet anyone else who shares similar weight loss goals or could help motivate me along!
Thanks!

Of course this can work for you, you just need to do some extra planning for your meals.
I work FT, am in nursing school nearly FT, have 4 dogs and am single so it's really a lot to deal with... On Sunday's I make different foods and either freeze or put in the fridge for meals. I literally have a little over an hour between work and school and my puppers need a walk so I need to grab and go. I also pack veggie bags to eat in class.
feel free to add meSchool starts again next week so I'll need all the motivation I can get, too!

Thanks for the response, it is good to know someone else is coming from the same place. I do need to plan my meals better. Especially when it comes to packing lunches. When I skip I am famished and always overeat before dinner. Maybe I can steal a few of your tips too! Thanks for the add.0

going through nursing school was one of the hardest things for me...I worked a full time job and went to school full time. So my diet consisted of what ever was quick and easily accessible. Now that I am out...I'm paying for it and life has thrown me several curve balls as well. I'm a newbie just like you. I decided that I'm going to make some major changes. So hopefully it will work out for both of us.0

I know exactly how you feel! I am 21 and pursuing my bachelors degree right now. while working 30 hours a week... I was technically right outside the healthy BMI when I started and lost 28 pounds with MFP to thank for all of it. It really opened my eyes up to food and portions and things like that. packing lunches has been a huge help for me. Also pre planning lunches and dinners and logging ahead has help me stay on track. As far as fitting in time for excersise, that it hard for everyone. You just have to keep motivation in your heart, fit it in where you can (even if just a little) and find things you enjoy. Tracking seriously helps so much. And just knowledge and community from this site can help you stay on track and make better, more informed decisions.
Skipping meals and not snacking enough when you start to get hungry tends to make people (well me, anyways) over eat. I make bad decisions out of blind hunger. Feel free to add me I would love to be friends and help any way I can0 -
Thanks for both of your responses ladies. I am so glad I found this site. I am obviously new, but you guys give me motivation to get started. It is always nice to have some support backing you up!0
