Hi MFP,

I have lost 16 lbs since February but lately my weight loss seems to have slowed down. I still have 10 lbs minimum to go. I eat clean and healthy (as much as possible which is 99% of the time). Lately I have upped my protein to 90-125 g a day and been keeping my carbs lower than 100 and my sugar around 25-45g. I did lose a little more since I've done that (I had gone up to 145.5 lbs and am back down to 138) but now seem to be stuck again. So I guess my question is for those of you who are successful in busting through your plateaux, what has worked for you?

For workouts I alternate between Jillian Michaels' various DVDs and have completed C25K and have now moved on to C10K which alternates jogging/walking. I exercise 5-6 days a week and my typical daily burn is around 400-550 a day. Also my MFP recommended cals are at 1200.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks guys!

I've been here since Feb of this year and I steadily lost 1lb per week for about 18 - 19 weeks and then the weight loss slowed, I think it was about 3 weeks without losing anything. I was going to dance/exercise classes up to 4 times per week and sometimes double classes, also started doing 30DS and sticking to my 1200 (not eating all exercise calories back) I was pretty scared to up my calories and carried on as normal even though the weight wasn't coming off and then my class teacher went away for a week. I continued with 30DS and walked more with the dog but certainly reduced my exercise dramatically that week and the weight started coming off again! Also I slowed up again at the beginning of August and went on a belated honeymoon and ate a LOT more than normal and on my return (after food poisioning which lasted about 24 hours) the weight started coming off again... For me a change in my routine helps, reduced exercise, more calories for a short time and it seems to kick start my weight loss. Maybe try this for a week - still chose healthy meals but up your calorie intake slightly - eat things you wouldn't normally and see what happens... Best of luck

Thx Sarah! Good Advice. I added more strenght training and though the scale has moved up a few lbs, but I decided as long as I am losing inches (which I am and quite a lot since my last post) that's all that matters
