Disney Characters Get a Runway Makeover

But the gist of it is that Disney has teamed up with Barney's New York for the holidays and are putting Disney characters in high end clothing - but they are completely altering their bodies to do so.

"According to Women's Wear Daily, Barneys collaborated with Disney to take their characters into a realistic fashion world for their "Electric Holiday" campaign, set to debut at their Madison Avenue flagship store on November 14."

Even within fashion, I don't think what they are presenting is "realistic" (obvious cartoon references aside). And beyond any "what message does this send" issues, I just think the characters look absurd.
