How can I (without being a jerk) get other people in my life to realize that they need to be healthier??
everyone can benefit from eating healthier and getting exercise, how do you make them see that!?
When my progress posts to Facebook, people say "oh, you look great, wish I could do that" and they can, but they don't try, is there something I can do to motivate them??
My thought is, is 100 people lose 5 lbs, the world would be 500 lbs lighter, and if those people each encouraged one person to join that's 1000lbs, and on and on, is there any sort of movement out there that people could join that would turn on that little lightbulb in their head to make them think, I want to live a healthy life, I don't want to suffer with things that can be prevented just by a little diet change and some exercise??
My 10 year old cousin is having trouble with her weight already, her doctor says they need to control what she eats better before it gets out of control, she is already 115 lbs. Her parents try, but then she goes to my other aunts house, where she spends most of her time, and she has a long countertop completely FULL of junkfood (it's not even in the cabinet where its out of sight and not as tempting) i'm talking pudding, snack cakes, cookies, chips, etc. They wonder why they are all overweight!?!?! and they're never outside doing anything, it's sitting in front of the tv, sitting in front of the computer, sitting at the table... how is a 10 year old going to learn healthy habits when that's what she's around all the time? and they think it's funny that she can eat 3 cheese coneys AND an order or chili cheese fries at one time or FIVE tacos and still be looking for something else to eat. I want to just smack the adults in my family upside the head and tell them to set a better example, and don't give her those amounts of food, she's not gonna starve eating normal portions, but they seem to think it's all a big joke! GRRRRR

You're going to come off as a holier than thou jerk.
Invite them to the gym or something but it's a personal choice to get healthy. Nobody likes a food/workout nazi for a friend.0
