195 Days with 27.4 lbs GONE!

Hi, everyone! I'm basically introducing myself :smile: I've been successfully using the MFP app since last February and my self-esteem has SOARED. But actually the best thing about it is that once I saw that "I can do this" it motivated me to discover what healthy nutrition REALLY is. And I also have a new love for healthy cooking. For the first time in my adult life I love to cook which is not only benefiting me, but also my family.

So, it's been 6 months and although that may not be fast enough for some, with all of the fast weight-loss fads out there, for me slow and steady wins the race. I've always believed that the quicker it comes off the quicker you gain it back. This is not a diet or program. It's an all-around lifestyle change for me and my family. I am a woman who's triglycerides were once in the 700's with my doctor constantly changing my meds to get them to come down. Now my overall cholesterol levels are within normal ranges and my, and my doctor's, goal is coming of the meds. I haven't been this happy in years!

This may sound really corny, but thank you for developing this app. I truly believe it has aided in saving my life.
