Shoe question (not a which is good question)

I'm wondering how long your shoes last, kind of on average. I have a pair that's about 6 months old and look worn on the sole, but still feel okay to run in...wondering when I should look at replacments - is it now with the bottom wearing - or when they start to not feel comfortable? Might be a silly question, but they are so expensive so I want to wait as long as I can without waiting to long and causing damage to my body.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Most running shoes will last between 300 and 600 miles. I swap mine out at 500. My feet start to get a little achy after a run in shoes that are getting long in the tooth.0

I also tend to swap at 500 miles...or after 2 half marathons + training!
A good test is to try twisting the shoe, as though you're trying to wring it out. If the sole twists & folds really easily, it's probably lost all its support and might need replacing.0
