I usually use http://caloriecount.about.com/ for any of my personal recipes that I want to make to find out the nutiritional information. Well, I found a new recipe online and it came with the nutritional information but I decided to use the caloriecount website as well, just to compare. The website I got the recipe from says each serving has 365 cal, 13g protein, 15g fat.... Caloriecount says the recipie has 439 cal, 15.5g protien and 22.5 grams of fat per serving.

These really aren't huge differences, but enough to make quite a impact over time especially if you are counting every calorie and trying to be accurate. I was wondering how everyone else determines calories in home made foods. I have tried taking each recipe into componant parts, adding up what the nutritional info for each is and then adding it all together and then dividing into portions, but that takes forever. What do you do to get your nutritional info for your home made foods?
