Can Ibuprofen cause weight gain? My IT band is also inflamed, so that's why I took the ibuprofen. My body feels swollen. I am 5lbs heavier on the scale. Anyone else ever had this?

Water weight, drink more water and get better.
Worry about your injury before you worry about your scale weight. You are only 36, most people live well into their 80's and 90's you have plenty of time to drop those 5 pounds, but your physical well being is a bit more important at this moment.0 -
Thank you for making me open my eyes! I am avoiding the scales! I am icing my leg as we speak and drinking water!0

I'm going to go ahead and bump this so maybe others will see...This is to everyone.
Fitness, Lifting, Running, Diet, what ever, its all a life long process, stop worrying about a little set back because you know what last year you were probably a lot worse off, last year you may not have even been exercising, you were stuffing your face. But this year you area doing better. What do you want to accomplish for next year?
Don't get caught up in the Right NOW mentality. Make decisions now that will get you to where you want to be next year, and the year after that.0
