I've had the MFP app on my phone for a while, but I used a different weight loss tracking site* instead of this site. I don't know why, this site is more convenient and user-friendly than that other one.
My name is Amber, I'm currently 26 years old and have been yo-yo'ing with weight loss for years. My peak weight was 265 lbs, back in 2004 and I've been as low as 200 lbs in 2009. I'm currently stagnant at 230-235 lbs for months now and I think the medication I've been put on this past year is to blame for my plateau (side effect is weight gain). I was at 250 lbs again before this plateau, I was losing weight steadily week to week and got down to 230 lbs, then I went on this medication and BOOM! weight loss just stopped dead in it's tracks.
The past month, I've hopped around different diets and eating plans (Alternate Day Fasting, Intermittent Fasting, 5-6 small meals, 3 squares, etc) to try to find one that suits me best, I still haven't found one that's easy to follow. I'm already a vegetarian, I have been for almost a decade now, you'd think that would make a difference in my weight loss, but it doesn't.
I've also stepped up my game with adding exercise into my routine; stationary bike and Wii exercise games.
*I'm rather frustrated with "the other site" because of the point system it uses to make people use the site more, it gave me some sort of false sense of accomplishment. The forums, on said site, were so busy, yet completely inactive and unsocial that it was hard to find a weight loss buddy through the waves of game threads in every single sub-forum. This site also offers app support for every phone OS, except Windows Phones (which is what I own).
