Insanity Question

Has anyone been over 300 lbs and have done the Insanity challenge? I am thinking about saving money and buying the Insanity in a few months and wondered how it is going to be. I currently am on restriction with workouts due to medical issues and my doctor said he is thinking of putting me on a medication to suppress my appetite since I can't workout right now, but if he decides to put me on the medication, he said it will be for 2 or 3 months (I am hoping to have enough money by then to buy Insanity) and I can possibly start working out again, but all the videos and discussions I have read/seen, no one is as heavy as me.

I have the predecessor PX90 and it's brutal, it states in the literature that it's for fit people only, not a starting exercise, I would assume insanity is the same.0

If you can do a pushup, have good joints (a loooot of jumping around, high knees, burpees, etc), can run a mile, then go for it.
If you are not there yet then work your way up with Jillian Michaels 30 day shred or other similar workouts. (intense but not AS crazy)0 -
My husband and I just started Insanity on Monday. He is normal weight and has a very physically active and demanding job, plus he works out 2-3 times a week lifting weights - I am the fluffy one, I have about 75lbs to lose and work a desk job. Insanity is INTENSE for both of us. We breathe hard, and loud - sweat all over the place, it just rolls off of us starting at about 3 minutes into the work out and it doesn't stop for about 20-30 minutes after we are done. It is a great workout, but it is HARD. There is a lot of jumping and pushups, squats and lunges and fast/quick moves that I have never seen or heard of before doing this program. They do recommend that you get a heart monitor and make sure that you check with your physician before hand. It's not joke.... it's also full of gorgeous fit people, which I find kind of annoying, lol. The thing I REALLY like about Insanity is that they take water breaks and encourage breaks if you need them...
I have done the biggest loser videos in the past and they are geared toward helping you become more fit and working your way up. I might suggest trying those first, the yoga one is especially relaxing, but you get an awesome work out from it as well.0
