So I need to find out if anyone else is in the same boat. I have the best significant other anyone could ask for but I always feel like I'm not good enough for him because of my weight. I dont feel sexy and I worry that he will leave me for someone who is much skinner. He works in the media and is around a lot of beautiful women every single day. I feel like I take a lot of my insecurities out on him and its so unfair. He tells me every day how wonderful and beautiful I am but I have such a hard time believing him. Has anyone else ever had this problem and over come it? I know I need to work on me but where do you start?

I feel the same too ... but instead of having these insecurities, i channel it to exercise and eating healthy. Also, i dragged my hubby to work out with me as well ... and it's working. This morning, he gave me a hug, and his arms went completely around my waist, and then some! The expression on his face ... PRICELESS :bigsmile:0

I'm with ya hun.. However even skinny "beautiful" women have insecurites as well. I think that everyone has insecurites, it just differs from person to person on what they are. Also people handle them in different ways. You have to remember that he's not with you just by your appearance, there's obviously other things that he loves you for.
And yes, channeling that into eating right and excercise is a wonderful thing, that's what I've done. I naturally have an addictive personality.. getting pregnant and then finding this amazing website has saved myself, my marraige and now my family.
Each day I think you should think of something positive about yourself.. write it out and post it somewhere, I think that'll help you day by day. Good luck!0 -
Of course!
You just have to remember that they love YOU not only what you look like! I find the more I fall for someone, the more unbelievably attractive they become.
I know everyone says it but, it's a "lifestyle change" and you're doing it to make your whole life better. :flowerforyou:0 -
I have that problem too. I am so insecure and on top of that I am probably the most jelous person ever! I drive myself crazy. But what I have figure out is that no matter what you are going to have the same insecurities. Losing weight won't make them go away. You have to make them go away or you are going to drive yourself crazy. Trust me I know. Go out and do things for yourself to make you feel good about you. Once you build more confidence in yourself you will feel better. Good luck.0

Absolutely!! I have been with my boyfriend for almost three years now, he is also surrounded by "skinny, beautiful" women, has dated "skinny, beautiful" women in the past, and I am one of the most insecure people ever, lol. But, you have got to believe that he loves YOU. And, it's not a matter of being "skinny" OR "beautiful," it's a matter of being healthy and happy. And, by being here, you are on the right track to healthy! We've just got to work on the happy part. I know it's hard - really hard - to feel happy and secure in your body when you don't like it ... but you're on the track to changing it, your boyfriend loves YOU (you are more than your body), and, for me anyway, I have found that exercise and eating right is the best self-love you could ever have. You're doing things for the best of you and ONLY YOU. And, then ... guess what! The side effect is you get thinner, more comfortable in your own skin, and pretty soon those "skinny, beautiful" women are just other chicks that don't matter one bit because you're smokin' hot, you're beautiful in the eyes of your man (as you already are) and you're healthy. :flowerforyou:0
