I went to the gym last night and did the stationary bike for about 15 minutes and then switched to the treadmill. I walked for two minutes and then started a slow jog 4.0mph and almost immediately my calves were crampy feeling almost like a knot. Is there something I need to do or a way to prevent this? Am I at risk of injuring them if I continue?
What exercises can I do to prevent my calves knotting up almost immediately?

Have you looked at your calcium and potassium levels? Lots of people - especially women - have cramping problems in their legs. For me, eating a bowl of plain yoghurt with a banana and peanuts or cashews every day keeps all sorts of cramping to a minimum. There are lots of other good ways to get it. A multi-vitamin might work. It gets worse as you get older :yawn:0
