Are the calculators wrong-how I started losing again

213, male, 5-8, 34. Use the scale every time I walk in its area. (my weight fluctuates 8 lbs or more at time, I focus on new lows)

I weighed my foods with a scale, I drank more water, I tried more protein, i logged everything, Completed insanity and p90x. Nothing worked to lose weight

Here is the 2 things I did that started working. ( I started both of these at the same time.)

I started taking, multivitamin, CLA, l-carnititine, fish oils, vitamin D, caffeine pill.

2nd thing. I went to a flat 1400 calorie target goal regardless of exercise, with trying to get 40%c,30%p,30%f

If you have tried everything else, maybe the calculators are wrong for your body.

I understand this goes against the majority on this site. My biggest point, don't be afraid to try different things.

You have done exactly what I am doing at the moment and it really works for me, Im at 1300, I dont eat back exericse cals, Im improving the actual food chart so its low carb higher protein less fat, Ive started taking a multi vit and a vit for joint care, I havent lost much weight in the last few months if any at all but now Im seeing a difference in the mirror the last few weeks as well as the scales!
  • Holy schnikies it's almost as if I was talking to myself!!! We're the same height and about the same weight but I've got 4 more years on you.

Same exact deal, P90X, Insanity, following their nutrition to a T. I mean I lost a little bit of weight and lots inches but when you have 80+ to lose that's not an encouraging sign.

My perspective is if I'm hungry, I'll eat back exercise calories, if not I won't. When the time comes that I stall out I'll add 100-200 calories at a time to see if that moves the throttle. I'll worry about that when it gets here.

I know allot of people who are on this same plan so your not alone! me personally it didn't work for me, I switched to a low carb diet and that works for me. Everyone should just find what works for them and what they feel they can live with :)
