Ladies. . . .shaving issues

So, ladies, have any of you who have had significant weight loss notice that it's harder to shave your legs & underarms? I've been noticing that my knees have lost their "fluff" and it makes shaving the front or behind the knee tricky. I routinely get in the sun and see areas that I've apparently missed for over a month?!? I've also noticed that my underarms are much more like arm PITS now and I keep finding a spot that must curve too much for the flat razor to hit (even though I go over the area like 20 times a shave). I was investigating an odd itch and found a patch that had apparently escaped the blade for weeks & weeks. GROSS!!!! When I was heavier and more "filled out" I never had this happen. Am I the only one or does anyone else notice that???

Silly thought for the kick off to a long weekend. Can you tell I don't want to be at work today?!? :-)

Shaving the backs of my knees terrifies me because of the tendons! I resort to using Nair or an electric razor on the 'scary' areas.

    Happy Friday!

I am forever missing some on my knee caps... I haven't had the problem with underarms! ;-)
  • It happened to me to when i lost 100 pounds. . . but once i started to tone more and my skin got tighter (like by my arm pits) i had less of that problem. . .

and i so do not want to be at work either dear!!!

With respect to the legs, I usually wax so not much has changed for me there. But with respect to the pits... yes, yes, a thousand times YES. I noticed that dip/curve a while ago and was all... "what the heck?! I swear I shaved you effortlessly before!" Small price to pay, though, hahah. ;)

I can't say that I have that problem. Perhaps a different style of razor would help.

I cut myself shaving my legs all the time...solely because I'm admiring my gams.
Everything else has been lasered off, so thankfully I'm not chopping up anywhere else.

Keep your legs straight and toes pointed when shaving the backs of your legs, that should help.
In the mean time, don't flex your calves and stare at them when shaving around your ankles...

For underarms, put your arm behind your head, your hand between your shoulderblades. It makes the pit flat. :)
For knees (back or front), just keep your leg straight, bending at the waist.
    Enjoy the weekend!

^^This!! I had my underarms done, and they are smooth and pretty. No more bumps or rash...beautiful! I'm so happy with those results I am going to have my entire body done: legs, bikini, face, tummy...the works!

I stll have a visible scar on my ankle bone from when I was 13 years old..There was a string of skin stuck to my razor. Sorry TMI! lol
  • I wax for the past 7 years, but i want to get laser removal as well.... uuuuuurg that would help soooooooo much.

Edit: i visit a beautician to wax me, she uses different types of wax to different spots so it doesn't hurt at all.

Try the venus razon with the dry shave things on the top and bottom. It is expensive but so worth it, I am in love.

Whole body can go 5,000 bucks and up. . . i do laser hair removal for clients but i cant do it on myself. lol
  • I also switched from adlies razors to a mans razor with 5 blades. . and use conditioner to shave. . keeps u smoother for longer and keeps skin soft . Best trick i learned in beauty school!

Let me share with you the most amazing razor ever. The Gilette Fusion ProGlide Power Razor. (http://cvs.com/shop/product-detail/Gillette-Fusion-ProGlide-Power-Razor?skuId=796138)

It is a men's razor. I always heard women should never use a man's razor, but this is what my fiance uses, and I thought "wth" and tried it. Ah.May.Zing. It is the smoothest shave I've ever had and after using it for like 3 years now (not the same cartridge, obv., just the razor itself lol) I have maybe cut myself like once or twice.

IDK why they don't just make women's razors like this.
