I often have a hard time when entering meats.. and identifying the correct cuts.

For example, today I cooked a package of Sterling Silver Beef Stir Fry Strips today..... but this doesn't tell me what cut of meat it is?! Is it flank, sirloin, or something else entirely.

Or when I cook some pork loin chops (as stated on the package) is it center cut chops? And does loin mean SIRLOIN? Cuz these are all the things I get when I type in Pork Loin Chop

How do I get the right calorie counts when entering meats, when the packages don't give me accurate details?

Please help me!!

You have to have a decent idea of what you have.
A center cut pork loin is usually very lean boneless and connective tissues are removed. A pork chop is the same meat, but with the fat bone and connective tissues intact but trimmed and have a higher calorie content.

There is no way to know what the stir fry strips are, but if they are lean, you could enter them as flank and will be close in calorie content.

Knowing that a flank or sirloin is generally lean vs a chuck steak which can be very fatty. Or the same comparison with a strip steak vs ribeye.

I am sure I have some details wrong but the right idea :)

Most packages, even meat, have bar codes on them that you can scan. I don't eat meat, but I do cook it for my family and very rarely do we have anything that will not scan
