My daughter is inviting her friend over for a sleepover this weekend, and while her mom said yes, she also told me that her daughter is highly allergic to both gluten and dairy. I'm having a hard time figuring out what to serve for dinner that night and breakfast the following morning. Are egg whites ok? Anyone have a couple good recipies that are BOTH gluten and dairy free, that a couple of 11 year olds would want to eat?

Call her mom and ask her what kinds of food/meals her daughter normally eats.0

Call her mom and ask her what kinds of food/meals her daughter normally eats.
Then make up a list on the computer and save it... so next time she spends the night you already know.
I have a list for all of my daughter's regular friends... of things they like / don't like...
The parent will feel better also knowing that you care enough to ask and seek out the knowledge.0 -
why didn't you ask her mother what she usually eats???
call back and ask!0 -
Eggs are not dairy. But if you do ever see a cow lay an egg, keep that cow cause you will be rich!!! Lol0

Be very careful if she's really allergic to gluten. It's in quite a few sneaky places that you wouldn't necessarily think of, like soy sauce, and certain brands of oatmeal. Also, if you buy gf bread for the morning, make sure to clean your toaster really well so it doesn't get contaminated by the crumbs.
Dinner:
Meat/Potato/Vegetable ~> None of these on there own would be harmful to her. Just make sure to check whatever spices/sauces you use for possible gluten
Breakfast ideas:
eggs and bacon with gf bread and jelly
gf oatmeal, with almond milk, brown sugar, & cranberries
all with some fresh fruit of course!
Check the health food area, which usually has a decent selection of gf products. Don't forget the freezer aisle too! Some of the best gf bread out there comes frozen.
ETA: Here's a July menu list for ya of GF/DF freezer meals. Gives you some options at any rate!

My bff's son is GFCF just like the sleepover girl. Udi's makes a gluten free individual pizza crust. add sauce, Daiya (casein free cheese and Hormel pepperoni and veggies. It is simple and fun. Its likely she doesn't get pizza often (it can be expensive) If your leary about tomato sauce just put olive oil on the crust. It can be a fun activity and dinner! They sell GFCF waffles/pancakes and cereal too. You can have a GFCF cereal on soy yoghourt. Eggs and Bacon cooked in Ghee with a fruit salad in a great breakfast. and also checkout http://www.gfcfrecipes.com/index.htm they have lots of ideas0

Def. call the mom if you need some ideas
Natures path makes some really yummy frozen waffles, there isn't really much difference between them and an eggo waffle if you want an easy breakfast. Honey Nut Corn Chex are also delicious and GF/DF. If you get cereal make sure to get some rice or soy milk too though so she can have milk if she wants. Or you could make bacon, hashbrowns (check the ingredients or make them from scratch) and eggs.
For dinner it really depends on what the kids like. My daughter is 10 and is happiest with a grilled chicken salad, but most of her friends wouldn't even give it a second look. But the basics: meat, potatoes, veggies, fruit are all gluten free. Just don't buy anything premade like chicken nuggets, because they most likely will have gluten. You could do tacos: Beef, corn tortillas or taco shells, veggies, salsa. All GF too.
Someone already mentioned it but make sure to look everywhere for gluten. Sauces, spices etc. And if you are buying treats for snack time, like chips, some of them have gluten/dairy in the seasonings too. Air popped popcorn is a great snack that all kids love, but if you want to add butter make sure to get a DF one. Earth Balance is wonderful.0
