This morning I weighed in at 219 but when I just burned 894 calories it says I weighed in at 216.8 so which is correct? This always happens to me it appears I weigh more when I wake up then it does after workout.

So weigh yourself at night.. Best advice stick to your goals make no excuses. And weigh in a the end of every month.. Not knowing every week/ day keeps me from obsessing over fluctuation of my weight since weight does vary through out the day. I wiegh at the end of every month ;)

It's because you've cut water weight after a hard enough work out, hence the sweat. Typically first thing in the morning after going to the rest room is the best time. It doesn't really matter as long as you pick a time and stick to it. If it's 5 am, make it 5 am every time you weigh. If it's 10 pm, same thing, just be consistant so you can get a feel for how you're trending.

All that being said, you're going to flucuate a lot during the course of a day. Up to 5 lbs of flux for me.

This. Most people (me included) like the first thing in the morning. But whatever time you like best, stick with it and do it at that time. I do it every Friday morning as soon as I wake up. Daily is to much of a fluxuation, but weekly or even monthly will give you a more true guideline.

    Best of luck!
  • I don't think it matters as long as you're consistent. If you prefer weighing post-workout then do that, as long as it's not just all sweat you're losing. I do it in the morning because it tends to be less for me and I'm sneaky like that.

the same day every week first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything but after you go to the bathroom.

I like to weigh biweekly (thurs and sun) but I only count sundays generally. that's my official weigh day and my diet/fitness challenges begin and end around that day. For example, my August challenge ends tomorrow and I will weigh Sunday morning to see how I did. As of yesterday I had 2 lbs to go.

    dookie...

    and I agree
  • I weigh myself morning and night. I count the weight in the morning which is usually less than at night.

I could see why you would weigh more after working out--losing all that sweat!
On the biggest loser they weigh at night--after working out all day
