Note to myself p.s. it's towards me I am not calling you people fat!
You know this feeling. The feeling of FAT. You are fat. I am fat. I have let my weight get out of control. This feeling sucks. I feel tired all the time, drained. What happened? 5/10/11 you started MyFitnessPal. You were 230 pounds. I was 230 pounds - with a goal: 180. You got so close. I got so close. I almost reached 200. I fit into jeans from 6th grade. I felt great. The exercising felt so good. I was getting non-scale victories. People were noticing, and praising me. I felt accomplished. Then I hit a plateau or so I thought. I continued logging in, yet nothing was changing. Then one day I forgot to log in. 190 days in. I broke the chain. I stopped shortly there after and never really returned successfully. I gained. I gained some more. Then I started drinking soda again. Oh I missed it. I stopped working out. Many attempts at reigniting the motivation, nothing worked. I made new MFP accounts to start fresh. Didn't work. Now? I am 270.6 and FATTER then ever. This needs to change. I'm starting 10th grade. My weight lowers my self esteem. It kills me to see what I was. Just last year, I was 55lbs lighter. I know I am growing, but that's insane. What happened? I got lazy, that's what happened. And this needs to stop. MyFitnessPal has stayed on my home screen for the past year and a half in the same place. I refuse to move it for my attempts. Now I will succeed. I can do it.

You CAN do it!!! Most of us have lost and gained and lost and gained...and it's so frustrating to think of where you were and how close you may have been to your goal but then you give up and put the weight and more back on. I have lost a bunch of weight over the last 17 months and I am worried about maintaining it. I really don't want to do all that hard work and sacrifice over again.
I have a son that just started 9th grade and his story is similar to yours. He's such an awesome and handsome kid but I know his weight makes him so self-conscious. Football season has started again and he's trying to get in shape with that. Maybe you could find an activity that you really love to do. I know karate is a great sport and is known for giving kids self esteem. Just stick with it and think about where you want to be in a year. You will be fine! Good luck!0
