New leash of life ....

Hi, my name is Lorna and I have been using MFP now for about 2-3 weeks. I just love it! I am working towards my goal of climbing Kilimanjaro and am on a rigorous training programme to get my fitness up which also includes shedding unwanted weight! I don't even know why I am doing this but I have just turned 48 and have realised that I need to challenge myself in life! I want more out of life and watching the Walking with the Wounded attempt Everest just reiterated how I feel!! I guess I just want to feel alive again so here I am wittering on. Life is getting better by the day and I guess none of us are guaranteed tomorrow so all is well .... my daughter thinks I am bonkers and I hope she is right as bonkers is fun!!! I can live with fun!!!!!

  • Ha ha I am going in blind really!!!! Who in their right mind would attempt to climb Kilimanjaro with a fear of heights!!!??? Maybe I should have started simple with swimming a mile or something! Never did do things by halves!!! Thanks for your words of encouragement although I am slightly swaying toward the fact the I may be completely crazy .....

Really not trying to make fun of the spelling mistakes. But "new leash on life' really made me laugh. I'm just seeing the $100.000 celebrity dog leashes around your neck as your new leash on life ;)
