I just joined myfitnesspal. I have tried losing weight a long time with some success but lately, (This year I turned 50) it seems almost impossible. I have a low resting metabolic rate almost none which was tested yesterday. So I am challenged to try and lose weight. One reason for this is hypothyroidism. I am starting a personal training program and not giving up. My lifestyle which is working nights does not help i am sure. I know at my age its time to at least try and change for better health.

Welcome!
You are on the right track to join MFP - reading success stories and joining a group that has the same goals and/or joining a daily or monthly challenge are all great motivators. I'm over 60 and I know that age can affect how easily you lose weight. Don't get discouraged ~ You can do this!!0
