The right shoes for Insanity??

Hello everyone,
I've been doing Insanity for the past 2 months (haven't stuck to the routine exactly though), and it has been great so far. But just in the last 2 weeks, the soles of my feet have been killing me during the warm-up part, and then it goes away by the end of the workout. Does anyone know what type of shoes are best for plyometric/cardio workouts?? I'm currently wearing Asics gel running shoes. They are over a year old so it's probably time to upgrade.
Any help is appreciated!!

I did the whole 2 months in just my socks. On what kind of surface do you do the workout? If its just carpet, try barefoot sometime.0

I did Insanity in my bare feet. I also keep a golf ball under my desk to rub my feet on which helps with the soreness:)0

I do Insanity on carpet so I will try barefoot today! I've noticed that sometimes my shoes kind of catch on the carpet or slow me down, so this may be the solution. Also saves me money from buying new shoes!0

Wow, I could NOT do barefoot! haha.
If you end up looking for shoes, I definitely recommend a good pair of cross-trainers. I started out in an older pair and was okay, did it one day in my running shoes and was in SO much pain and finally got me a new pair of cross-trainers. It's been smooth sailing since then.
Hope that helps!0 -
I use my asics but i have some thick padded insert s inside of mine. I was ok during my first round. I am going to treat myself to a nice new pair ofcrosstrainers tho!0

I have flat feet so my feet were killing me in my brooks for running. I bought pumagility's. They were the 2010 Self Magazine's best for zumba, etc. I did my workout in them and I did not have to take breaks to stretch my arches. Do your research and find the best for your feet type.0
