Logan's Roadhouse

I am going there for dinner today and have no idea what is healthy, or semi-healthy on their menu. Has anyone been there? I would love some dinner suggestions. :)

I don't have any advise (I bet they slather all the steaks with butter - maybe ask them to not use any), I'm just drooling thinking about it. I went once and it was so good! They don't have them in my area :(

I always look up the menu and nutrition guide of restaurants before I go to a new one. That way you know ahead of time what to order. I even prolog my food to make sure I stick to the plan.

This is what I was going to suggest, too. I'd stay away from loaded potatoes of any kind and anything smothered in cheese or cream sauces. Also, I've found that sometimes salads are as calorie laden as a regular entree. If you look up the menu online, you'll have a better idea of what you're facing when you get there. You can always eat what you want. Just make allowances for your choices later. Enjoy!

they have some healthier (<550 cals) meal offerings under the health nuts section :

you can mix and match other options, though. i have always enjoyed Logans. haven't been there for years, though.

I ate there 2 weeks ago. They have a 6oz lobster &6oz Filet Mignon combo dinner that I ordered. ( I only ate 1\2 the filet) Here's the calorie breakdown of the entire meal:

    Lobster: 200
    1/2 Filet: 125
    Mushrooms: 64
    1 cluster
    Snow crab legs: 130
    Dinner roll: 227

    Total: 746

I wish I would have skipped the dinner roll, not worth the calories IMHO. I couldn't believe how much that sucker was after I got home and added it to my tracker.
  • Go on the website and pre plan what you're going to have. They have an entire section for "health nuts" - complete meals for under 550
