eating too little calories?

So ive been recommended by MFP to eat 1200 calories a day... I tend to eat around 1000 calories and tend to exercise at least 200-300 a day off of that... so im left with a 700-800 calorie day. Am i hindering my weight loss by not eating enough calories? I hope this doesn't put me as borderline anorexic either. I've read a lot of the topics on this site and weight loss seems to be a calorie game to me. I'm just worried that I'm making it harder to lose weight for myself. Suggestions! Advice! Please and thank you!
