1lb per week or 0.5lb?

Quick question, I'm 134lbs roughly, 5 foot 5, want to be 126ish, and I changed my settings to 1lb per week (1230 cal a day) but then thought should I be setting it to 0.5lbs because I am 8lbs away from goal? Also I'm currently doing the 30 Day Shred and walk often.

once you are that close to goal...or within 10 lbs of where you want to be it's a good idea to set your loss to 0.5lbs a week.0

Set it to 0.5lb if you are close to your goal if you are doing the 30 DS you might lose faster than that:)0

I changed mine at 4lb to go, as I was still losing weight on lower cals. But if you have stalled then try changing ur cals to lose half a pound0

Thanks I've heard a lot here how you should change it to lower when you're closer to goal, I'll do it now. But can anyone tell me why exactly it's recommended?0

Think of it as working up to your maintenance cals, you can't eat at a deficit for ever!0
