I'm 5'3 and I weigh 195lbs. I was wondering if I could see some before and after pics? And tell me what you did to lose the weight? I really need some motivation since I wanna get to about 135...

I'm 5' 3" and was about 190lbs when i started MFP. I've lost about 15lbs thus far and although I don't see a difference I do feel a little different (although this may be purely a mental thing). I don't really have any before/during/after pics yet but i too would like to see what other have to share!0

I'm about 195 right now and some days i don't have the inspiration to get up and work out0

I was 184 last June and now weigh between 134~136 now. I don't have any before pictures but got plenty of after.0

I wish I could get down to that much. But I just started a week ago. I'm going to work hard for it. My goal is about 150 for now. Looking at before and after pics gets me motivated to get up and work out0

I'm 5'3" and down to 141. I don't have before or after pics because I started last week at 145. In my picture I probably weighed about 150 (but I'm sucking in my gut and used black and white to hide my double chin lol). I want to get down to 120. I'll post pictures as I progress.0

I am 5'3" and went from 200 to 145 a few years back. It was hard work, diligient diet and lots of exercise (I worked my way up from walking to running 4-5 x week). I can show you before and after picks if someone can tell me how to put a photo in my post?0

I'm 5'3 and I started at 196. I'd also like to maintain between 135-140 pounds. My current profile picture was taken at 169, so I'm about halfway to my goal!
At first your diet is going to affect the scale more than exercising will.
Ease yourself into the exercising. I promised myself I'd step out of my comfort zone and at least try new things. I did the Couch to 5k jogging/walking program. I go to zumba classes. I've tried spinning. A couple of days ago I picked up the $10 Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD. There are also so many great, free fitness videos on youtube.
Keep with it! I sent you a friend request .0 -
Thanks, Mama! Hopefully this works. If not, friend me - I have the photo posted on my profile page.
In the before pic, I was actually around 210-215 (my highest was 218). The after pic was just before my 20th HS reunion at 145 (I was trying on this dress and sending the pic to a friend!). I have to admit, I have regained some weight since this photo was taken but that is why I am here on MFP ... to get back on track. Getting there isn't my problem, it is staying there!0 -

I am assuming you are trying to post the comparison pic in your profile. You look fabulous.0 -

Add me if you want. I have an after picture on my profile. I started at 125 and I'm at 111 now. I have some fatty spots still that I want to lose from (a little on thighs, some belly, a tad on arms). I figure 108 plus a little more muscle will be what gets me where I want to be.
I did lots of cardio (7-10 times a week), weights (5-7 times a week), and I ate very carefully. I increased protein and tried to get rid of processed food as much as possible. I drink lots of water. Some people will tell you that they did fine with diet sodas. I think soda is from the devil. It is addictive and non-nutritive.
My husband lost weight without trying when I changed my cooking. My kids love trying the new foods.
Best of luck!0
