Motivation & Workout Help

I have a hard time sticking to going to the gym but when I do go I try to get cardio and strength in. The on site gym where I live has a stationary bike, elliptical and treadmill as well as one of those multiuse weight machines. I'm trying to get in shape for my own health but also because hubs wants a baby. My long term fitness goal is 150lbs. I'm 5' 2" and currently 200lbs. Does anyone suggest any workouts? I was considering trying Insanity or P90X as a jump start.
