Question about lifting heavy while playing sport

So come next month I'm going to be playing 4-5 softball games a week. I've just restarted NROLFW but with both games and training I'll be doing softball five days a week. If I continue lifting heavy I'll really only have two nights a week I can do weigh lifting. Monday and Wednesday (even then it's not ideal as I'll be playing Fri, Sat, Sun and lifting after training on Wed)

Am I bring insane of trying to lift heavy while having this much sport on?

I also have netball Monday nights but am considering giving that up once season starts.

The sports your are participating in are not full effort 100% of the time - there is a lot of hanging around waiting for your turn or to make a play. There should not be an over training issue if you do them all - more of a time scheduling issue!

Doing NROLFW 2 x a week is better then not doing it at all! Just be sure you are getting enough calories and good nutrition to stay strong and keep your energy up! The calorie and macro targets from NROLFW are a good guide. Look at the nutrition calculators for active and active plus lifting.

    Have fun!

I did forget to mention I'm a pitcher. Hopefully won't be pitching every game tho!

I put my cals up to 1900-ish two weeks ago (not eating back exercise cals) and I've put on 2.4kg in those two weeks!!! Argh.

I think you'll know pretty soon if it's too much, try it for a few weeks and re-evaluate?

Couple of reasons for that -

More food more sodium and water retention?
TOM causes bloat and water retention?
You have been calorie restricted for a long time and your body is resetting. It can take a while for you hormones to get over it and chill out.

Give it time! You will find your "sweet spot"

I think it's fine to combine these. I run 5x a week, and try to do 2 or 3 sessions of heavy lifting alongside that. It just makes me feel good, to be honest.
