Protein powder for women

Should this be something I start using? Can someone explain pros and cons for me please?

  • Protein powder is an easy way to get decent amounts of protein into your diet. I've made shakes with as much as 100 grams of protein in them. They are convenient and can be made the night before and kept in the fridge. You have so many different flavors to choose from and can add fruit or peanut butter depending on what macros you want to hit.

^What Iceman said. Also, I work out so much that if I don't hit or exceed my protein (35%), I have terrible muscle soreness. Even with all the lean meats and dairy I eat, I usually require 2-3 scoops of whey protein isolate a day.

It'll drive away hunger, which will help with cravings and temptations, and allow you to focus on eating the right foods to fuel your lifestyle and hit your goals.

Syntrax Nectar Sweets is my brand of choice.

I think it would depend on your goals. Are you trying to build a lot of muscle? I don't know, but I would imagine that the average woman with ordinary fitness goals could get sufficient protein from a healthy diet.

My goals are to eat 5 times/day. Without protein powder, I don't think I could do it. If you are doing fine without protein powder, then no reason to add it. If you are having trouble finding time to eat or want to eat something 'light', protein powder can help.
