Back cramping after run?

I've been having a strange consistent problem during my runs, the mid to upper part of my back starts to cramp up. It's only the left side and only when I start my cool down from running to walking.
My runs are usually only 2 miles, I have a good 5 minutes of walking to warm up and I have another 5 to cool down.
Any idea when as soon as I stop running my back would cramp up like that?

Make sure you keep your shoulders low. Many people have a tendency to shrug their shoulders up towards their ears when they are doing high intensity cardio. Every few minutes, focus on rolling your shoulders back and sliding your shoulder blades down your back. This is a cue I learned in spin classes that really helped me when I started running. I experienced a very similar pain the first time I ran for a significant amount of time. After focusing on this, I've never had that pain again, even though I've quadrupled my long distance since I started.0
