new to MFP

Hi Everyone!
I am a former ballerina/current pilates instructor who has gotten wayy off course in my own fitness and nutrition path. I was trained for 18 years in Russian Ballet before studying with the Alvin Ailey company while in college. I loved to dance, then an ACL injury sidelined me. I had always been very disciplined (sometimes overly so) with food and working-out but after my injury the weight slowly crept on.
Now 5 years later I am hoping to make a healthy, manageable change! I currently teach pilates and want the confidence of knowing I'm practicing what I preach. My goal is to teach a ballet barre class for adults by the end of October which means me in a leotard! I'm hoping to get some practical tips and mainly support from others on this site!
